GREED IS KILLING AFRICA

By: Uncle Ebo White In 1993, Margaret Thatcher’s wealth was put at £9.5 million or roughly $6 million. Kamuzu Banda’s wealth was estimated at $320 million, that is 53 times the wealth of Margaret Thatcher. In other words, Kamuzu Banda of poorest of the poor Malawi was worth 5,300 per cent more than Margaret Thatcher of first world UK. How do you explain that? How can you explain that? And remember that if you compared Kamuzu Banda’s wealth with that of Abacha, Kamuzu Banda is a mere pauper in comparison to Abacha’s wealth that was estimated in the billions of dollars. When Zambia’s Frederick Chiluba left office, he was put on trial for corruption and abuse of office. At the trial, it came out that on one trip abroad, Chiluba went on a shopping spree and came home with 11 trunks of personal items made up of 64 shoes; 206 designer suits; 185 shir...

Hail All Pan-Africanist, Shame All Anti-Pan-Africanists

I salute all Comrades who championed the emancipation of the Black African.🏾 True we wouldn't be where we are today if it were not for their love and sacrifice. Lives were lost lives were sacrificed, aggrieved with the exploitation, the marginalization, the manipulation they and their families and brothers were exposed to.  Our African ancestors took up the rifle and armoury and went out to oust this tyrannical system to set themselves free. The dream of freedom has materialized at last and we are grateful although there are a lot to work on during this generation.  We will always reflect to our past and wave goodbye to all the toil we were subjected to during the apartheid and colonial era. We work towards preserving as well as enriching our hard won liberty at long last. We do not afford to entertain unscrupulous, greedy i...

All Whites Are Racists?

Image
Are you 100% sure that every white is an enemy to the black race. Think about it soberly, there's no need to be angry because I found most Pan-Africanists very aggressive for justice. There are some whites out there who were not happy and aggrieved at all the extreme cruelty that were pepetrated by their ancestors and their fellow colleagues against our Black ancestors. As for Zimbabweans we know the Russians supported your ancestors a lot during the Liberation struggle. Now I repeat my question. Are all whites enemies?  Are we living in illusion or more so a delusion? We need to be vigilant and realistic brothers and sisters so we can emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. Our mindset as Africans was conditioned to believe in lies. But now most of us are awake, however the new spirit of consciousness gain by some Africans has been possessed by the ...

The Issue of Unemployment In Africa

Image
Africa has been facing the problem of unemployment for quite a long time now. There are a lot of factors that contributes to this. As conscious Africans, it's about time we rise up and identify our weakness and solve it. The following are some ways by which we can solve this. 1. Having more control of our resources would help create more jobs. 2. Quality education is key in harnessing our resources to create jobs . 3. It is important we create and patronize home grown financial institutions (i.e banks etc.) 4. It is important we setup private businesses to reduce over reliance on government employment. 5. We need to look at the rate of childbirth and regulate it for some time to cater for the huge backlog of the unemployed. Share your thoughts in the comments section

KWAME NKRUMAH'S SPEECH DURING GENERAL ASSEMBLY (English)

Image
KWAME NKRUMAH'S SPEECH DURING A GENERAL ASSEMBLY.                   Dr. Kwame Nkrumah We meet here today not as Ghanaians, Guineans, Egyptians, Algerians, Moroccans, Malians, Liberians, Congolese or Nigerians, but as Africans. Africans united in our resolve to remain here until we have agreed on the basic principles of a new compact of unity among ourselves which guarantees for us and our future a new arrangement of continental government. If we succeed in establishing a new set of principles as the basis of a new charter for the establishment of a continental unity of Africa, and the creation of social and political progress for our people, then in my view, this conference should mark the end of our various groupings and regional blocs. But if we fail and let this grand and historic opportunity slip by, then we shall give way to greater dissension and division among us for which the people of Africa will never forgive us. And th...

KWAME NKRUMAH'S SPEECH DURING GENERAL ASSEMBLY (French)

KWAME NKRUMAH'S SPEECH DURING GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

Economic Status of Africa

Image
ECONOMIC STATUS OF AFRICA                        The narrative that Afrika and Afrikans are poor is one we need to deconstruct in our minds maAfrika. That is key to our Rising and Taking Back our places under this Afrikan Sun! The colonisers are poor like hell and they have always twisted the mirror around and fed us their reality. That we are the ones who are poor, uneducated, lazy, barbarians, uncivilised, backwards, savages in "The Dark Continent/Third World" Where did they get their education from? Afrika Where did they learn about civilisation/architecture/science and technology? Afrika Where do they get "their wealth" from? Afrika Who is the biggest threat to their survival should they wake up to the Truth of Their Power and Greatness? Afrikans I can go on and on... So, an Afrikan without or with ragged clothes  has alway been and will always...

Plantation Life

Image
Plantation Life "There were no beds given the slaves, unless one coarse blanket be considered such, and none but the men and women had these...They find less difficulty from the want of beds, than from the want of time to sleep; for when their day's work in the field is done, the most of them having their washing, mending, and cooking to do, and having few or none of the ordinary facilities for doing either of these, very many of their sleeping hours are consumed in preparing for the field the coming day; and when this is done, old and young, male and female, married and single, drop down side by side, on one common bed,--the cold, damp floor,--each covering himself or herself with their miserable blankets; and here they sleep till they are summoned to the field by the driver's horn." Frederick Douglass, from The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, 1845 For slaves, life on the plantation w...
